Terms and Conditions

Agreeing to these terms

These terms apply to anyone who uses this website or hires Frontier Mesquite Concrete Company for concrete work. When you browse the site, ask for an estimate or book a job with us, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or our services.

If you sign a written estimate, proposal or contract with us for a specific job, that document controls wherever it differs from this page. These terms cover everything the written agreement doesn't.

What we do

Frontier Mesquite Concrete Company is a concrete contractor in Mesquite, TX. We build driveways, patios, sidewalks, garage floors, steps, pool decks, retaining walls, footings and slab foundations, and we do stamped and decorative concrete, foundation raising and concrete cutting. We work in Mesquite and the cities around it.

What you read on our home page, our About page and our service pages is general information about how concrete work is usually done. It isn't a quote and it isn't advice for your particular property. Your job is defined by what we see at your house and what goes into your written estimate.

Estimates and pricing

We give free in-person estimates with no obligation to hire us. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure on the day we visit, along with the scope, materials and finish you choose.

Some conditions only show up once the old concrete is out or digging starts, such as soft or wet ground under the slab, buried roots, old fill or debris, or a slope that needs more base work than expected. If we find something like that, we'll stop and tell you what it means for the job and the price before we do the extra work. Changes to the scope or price are agreed with you before we go ahead.

An estimate is good for the period written on it. After that, material and labor costs may have changed, so we may need to update it.

Scheduling, weather and cancellation

We set a start date with you once you accept the estimate. Concrete depends on the weather, so rain, freezing temperatures or extreme heat can push a pour back, because pouring in bad conditions makes a weaker slab. When that happens we'll reschedule with you as soon as we can, and we won't charge you for a weather delay.

If you need to cancel or move your date, let us know as early as possible by calling (214) 429-3296 or through our Contact page. If materials have already been ordered or delivered, or forms are already set, you may owe for those costs as described in your written agreement.

After the pour, the concrete needs time to cure, which is the wait while it hardens and gains strength. We'll tell you when it's safe to walk and drive on it. Damage caused by using the slab before then isn't covered by us.

Your part of the job

You agree to give our crew safe access to the work area and to let us know about anything under the ground that we can't see, such as sprinkler lines, private gas or electric lines, septic parts or drainage pipes. You're responsible for confirming property lines and for getting any approval your homeowners association requires.

Who handles permits for your job will be set out in your written agreement. Damage to items you didn't tell us about isn't our responsibility.

Payment terms

Payment amounts, any deposit and due dates are listed in your written estimate or contract. Unless that document says otherwise, the final balance is due when the work is complete.

If a payment is late, we may pause further work until the account is current. You're responsible for reasonable costs we incur to collect an unpaid balance, to the extent Texas law allows.

Concrete, cracking and warranty disclaimers

Concrete shrinks as it dries and moves with the ground under it, so small hairline cracks can show up even on a well-built slab. We cut control joints, which are planned grooves that give the slab a place to crack in a straight line, but no contractor can promise a slab that never cracks. Small shrinkage cracks, slight color differences between pours and normal variation in a broom finish or stamped pattern aren't defects.

Any workmanship guarantee we offer for your job is the one written in your estimate or contract. Apart from that written guarantee, and to the fullest extent Texas law allows, we make no other warranties, express or implied. We don't warrant against damage caused by ground movement, poor drainage that's outside our scope, tree roots, heavy loads the slab wasn't built for, deicing salts, or changes someone else makes after we finish.

This website is provided as is. We try to keep it accurate, but we don't promise that every page is complete, current or free of errors.

Limitation of liability

Frontier Mesquite Concrete Company is fully licensed and insured. To the fullest extent Texas law allows, our total liability for any claim connected to our work is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. We aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, such as lost use of your driveway, lost income or emotional distress.

We aren't responsible for any loss that comes from relying on general information on this website instead of an on-site estimate.

If there's a problem

If something isn't right, call us at (214) 429-3296 or reach us through our Contact page first. Most problems can be fixed by coming back out and looking at the slab together, and we'd rather do that than argue on paper.

If we can't settle it that way, you and we agree to try mediation before either of us files a lawsuit, unless one of us needs urgent relief from a court. Any lawsuit will be brought in the state courts of the Texas county where the work was done.

Governing law

These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law rules.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted on this page when you use the site or sign an estimate is the one that applies. Changes don't affect a written agreement you've already signed unless we both agree in writing.

If one part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
